International Readiness First Digital Inclusion Requirements

International applicants must first demonstrate organizational readiness to manage and deploy batches of 50 to 100 refurbished devices across multiple countries. This includes documented warehouse space meeting basic climate-control standards, staff certified in hardware diagnostics, and a customs brokerage agreement covering at least three destination jurisdictions.

Infrastructure constraints appear most clearly in regions lacking consistent 220-volt power or possessing intermittent internet exceeding 200-millisecond latency. Organizations without established relationships with national postal services or equivalent last-mile carriers are screened out during the initial technical review.

Workforce constraints center on the availability of technicians fluent in both English and the primary language of at least two recipient countries. Readiness documentation must include a 12-month maintenance schedule projecting replacement part sourcing and a contingency plan for device loss during transit.

Unlike single-country submissions, international proposals require letters of support from each national nonprofit registry involved and a consolidated data-privacy compliance matrix covering GDPR, PIPEDA, and equivalent statutes. The program supplies devices only after these readiness thresholds are verified through third-party inspection.

This gatekeeping reduces downstream failure rates observed in prior global distributions where recipients lacked basic logistics capacity.
